Hi
I extended my VM fusion for mac virtual machine disk but its only half showing...
I have the latest version of VMware fusion and i am running a windows 7 virtual machine. My Win 7 virtual machine c drive was running out of space so i went to Virtual Machine > Settings > Hard Disk and used the slider to increase the disk size from 100 GB to 250 GB.
Notes:
Can anyone please help with how I can get C: drive to show the full new capacity?
Many thanks in advance. Matt

Hi Experts,
I have two identical VM ESXi 6.5 hosts.
Is it possible to configure one host to be standby and ready to take over if the active host looses power?
Can vmotion do this redundancy support?
Thanks

After installing Vmware ESxi 6.0 U3 in Leovo ThinkSystem SR550, we got the following configuration issue;
If anybody knows about this issues, please help to share for solution
I have a windows 2012 with vCenter Server installed with a external MSSQL-server.
When I was trying to upgrade to 6.5u1 I got error 1603, I've been trying with this solution Vsphere 6.5 U1 update on Windows fails but it doesnt work for me. So I uninstalled vSphere but when I try to install u1 I get the same error. Before I get the 1603 error I also get "Failed to write to file c:\programdata\vmware\vcenterserver\cfg\sca\services\rhttpproxy.properties Exeption: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'c:\\programdata\\vmware\\vcenterserver\\cfg\\sca\\services\\rhttpproxy.properties. Failed to register VMWare HTTP Reverse Proxy service with SCA.
Hi Help Please
I tried to convert physical machine to a virtual machine but error appear,
unable to detect disks or volumes on the source machine. make sure that the source is a supported linux distribution.
Physical machine information:
1\ oracle linux
2\uname -a
4.14.35 - 1844.3.2.el7uek.x86 _64 #2 SMP Mon Feb 25 .........GUN/LINUX
I know that maybe the Problem , because the Oracle Linux isn't at the support list. But I think the oracle linux is the Centos linux , they are the same.
the error appear when I choose the Source System, so I can not continue .
I think i don't use software RAID. The Attach as below.
Thank you helping me . Or I have to try to reinstall my system use Centos7

Hi all,
I'm looking at deploying a vCD environment, initially starting with just a single cell and single RabbitMQ server to gauge actual demand/use of vCD functionality. I will be using the 9.7 appliance with an embedded PSQL database. An external NFS transfer server will also be deployed. No load-balancer required as yet since we only have one cell anyway.
My question is can we build out an environment at a later date when we actually need to expand? For instance, deploy a single cell now and expand to 2, 3, n-number cells with a load-balancer in front. Can we do the same with RabbitMQ too? I can't seem to find any information regarding cell/environment expansion. It appears that the vCD architecture is designed to support scaling-out but just wanted to confirm.
Thanks for your time!

Guys.
I have one vCenter 6.5 up and running and now I setup another Center.6.5
I want to move 4 ESXI hosts from Vcenter 1 to Vcenter 2
I know I need to Disconnect the ESXI host from vCenter 1 and then remove from inventory
Then on vCenter 2 add the host.
My question Can I do this with the VM;s up and running?
All VM's are installed on Shared NSF storage which All ESXI hosts have Mounted.
Any suggestions ?
Thank you
Tom
Good day,
We have an ESXi host with the version 5.5.0 of these has Realtek driver if we now but normal upgrading is not because the driver is no longer there and then the error "No Network Adapter" because he can no longer have the drivers One of you help us?
Thank you in advance
Hi,
I am encountering the oddest issue on a new machine I got. I think I can say with confidence that it's related to the display driver and specifically with the DirectX 11 support (or perhaps lack thereof?).
Anyway, here is what happens. Running a Ubuntu 16.04 (amd64, Xubuntu to be precise) guest on a Windows 10 (1809) host with VMware Workstation Pro 15.0.4 build-12990004 crashes reproducibly when executing the soffice binary from LibreOffice inside the guest to convert an .fodg file to a PDF file.
The error message box says:
VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: (svga)
VERIFY bora\mks\hostops\DX11\DX11ShimOps.c:4962
A log file is available in "C:\Users\username\Documents\Virtual Machines\xubuntu1604_chr2\vmware.log".
You can request support.
To collect data to submit to VMware support, choose "Collect Support Data" from the Help menu.
You can also run the "vm-support" script in the Workstation folder directly.
We will respond on the basis of your support entitlement.
I collected the support information as per the instructions and now I am wondering where to send it. This is from the company and it's still running in trial mode as I have yet to receive a license key (in progress). But even if I had the license key there would be no guarantee that the "IT guy" (who isn't doing this as his main job) cares enough to forward the info to you folks. Being a developer, I do care, though.
Should I send the info from my personal VMware account or so? There I also have no support entitlement at this point, but I reckon your company is interested in learning about errors and details surrounding them.
Today morning, I have updated Windows 10 new patch around 640 MB. It takes around 2 hours to update this patch. After patch update when I tried to access Outlook mail it doesn’t open. I don’t know what the issue in the mail. I have tried many manual methods but no one works properly. I have searched this issue on this forum and found one thread related to Outlook:
https://communities.vmware.com/thread/586605
But still facing the same issue. After tons of searches, I have collected a few resources. Please refer to these resources and suggest which one is better.

I'm having an issue putting Docuware 6.7 Hotfix 44 in an app stack. The issue we are having is there is a web client and desktop apps. They use Certificates to allow the web client and desktop apps to communicate on Port 8090 for HTTP and port 8091 for HTTPS using the local loopback address 127.0.0.1. When trying to use HTTPS we get and error that the web page cannot be displayed If we put DocuWare in the image it works fine and it also works fine after its been installed in an app stack during capturing. Once the App Stack is attached it doesn’t work. Our internal support team for DocuWare thinks it could be an issue with the certs, but they are really not sure. We have verified the certs are installed in the app stack.
Curious if anyone else has experience with DocuWare or putting certs in an app stack.
Thanks
Jeff
In troubleshooting another workflow that takes hours to complete, I created a simple workflow that takes an sdkConnection as an input, and does a getAllVirtualMachines().
VMs is an Array/VC:VirtualMachine here, output to an attribute:
VMs = sdk.getAllVirtualMachines(); System.debug(VMs.length + " VMs found.");
This logs the length of the array in a second or two, but then the VMs attribute remains undefined, with the vco server load average ramping up, and server.log spamming this for seemingly every VM:
2018-06-15 11:36:05.434-0500 [taskExecutor-8] ERROR {} [ObjectUpdateParser] assign disabledMethod -> VirtualMachine::vm-54649 2018-06-15 11:36:05.434-0500 [taskExecutor-8] ERROR {} [ObjectUpdateParser] Ignore error and continue with others updates java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot find managedMethod with name: MountToolsInstallerImage at com.vmware.o11n.plugin.vsphere.pc.ObjectUpdateParser.applyProperyChange(ObjectUpdateParser.java:65) at com.vmware.o11n.plugin.vsphere.pc.ObjectUpdateParser.processObjectUpdate(ObjectUpdateParser.java:112) at com.vmware.o11n.plugin.vsphere.pc.CacheUpdate.processUpdateSet(CacheUpdate.java:110) at com.vmware.o11n.plugin.vsphere.pc.CacheUpdate$UpdateSetHandler.nextUpdateSet(CacheUpdate.java:171) at com.vmware.o11n.plugin.vsphere.pc.CacheUpdate.run(CacheUpdate.java:66) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor.runWorker(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:1142) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:617) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:748)
It eventually threw this in the vco client:
[2018-06-15 10:56:06.041] [D] 2541 VMs found.
[2018-06-15 11:00:28.113] [E] Workflow:Get all virtual machines / Scriptable task (item1) : ch.dunes.model.type.ConvertorException: Unable to convert object, 'Stub: moRef = (ManagedObjectReference: type = VirtualMachine, value = vm-704346, serverGuid = null), binding =https://fqdn.com/sdk' plugin exception reason : convertToResult() --> Finder 'VC:VirtualMachine' : unexpected error 'ch.dunes.model.sdk.SDKFinderException: convertToResult() --> Finder 'VC:VirtualMachine' : unable to invoke read method : 'name''
Is this supposed to work? I think the error in the client is because a VM was deleted mid-way through the run?

After removing an ESXi host from the vCenter inventory the license usage does still show old values over PowerCli:
$oServInst = Get-View ServiceInstance
$oLicMgr = Get-View $oServInst.Content.licenseManager
$oLicMgr.Licenses
Sometimes it takes hours until the "Used" property is up to date. I can´t find any way to trigger an update.
Any help would be appreciated.
We are VMWare's partner and we develop workflows in Orchestrator. Orginally we developed our workflows in the lagacy client and they run always good from vRO 6.0 - 7.3.1 in the lagacy client. Now in the new vRO 7.6 we see a new web client and we are trying to test the workflows in new web client, but we see the following error when start to run some of the workflows, and these workflows can not be run in the new web client(but some other workflows are no error):
When clicked "run" of "Deploy ESXi server with static IP"(see below pic), the page does not go to "run" view, and the page shows "500,OK" in the top. I tried tail -f /var/lib/vco/app-server/logs/server.log, and when clicking "run" button, it printed the following error:

All the workflows in lagacy client of vRO 7.6 are able to be run with no errors. And strangely, in new web client , "Deploy ESXi server with static IP" workflow can not be run with the above error, but "Deploy ESXi server" can be run with no error. The two workflows are very similar(the only difference is one deploys ESXi with static ip and one deploys with DHCP), and I have no idea why one can be run in web client but the other can't:
Deploy ESXi server with static IP:
Deploy ESXi server:
The only action that differ in the two workflows:
deployOSStatic:
deployOS:
Is the new web client backward-compatable to workflows developed in lagacy client? Or what modificatons we need to do to support new web client?
Looking forward to your help for this urgent issue. Thanks in advance!
