We are seeing this issue when trying to adding vmkernel ports to the iscsi software adapter :

Call "IscsiManager.QueryCandidateNics" for object "iscsiManager" on ESXi "10.103.97.200" failed.
We have tried, disabling and enabling iscsi adapter, rebooting the hosts, recreating our switches.

I got error when trying converting physical server to VM. Here is the summary of my site:
Physical server OS : Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
vCenter converter version : 6.2.0 build-7348398
vCenter Dest version : Windows vCenter 6.5
Just few minutes after submitting jobs, I got this error:
FAILED: Unable to create a VSS snapshot of the source volume(s). Error code: 2147754766 (0x8004230E).
After searching, I know this error is related to Volume Shadow Copy Service that can not convert FAT32.
Yes, There is FAT32 system in physical server as below:
VMware KB ( VMware Knowledge Base ) says to uncheck FAT volume or convert to NTFS.
option 1:
When try to uncheck this FAT32 volume, the conversion progress will fail at 96 or 98 %, with error Warning: Unable to update BCD on the destination machine's system volume.
We know this FAT32 volume is system volume, we try to overcome this issue but still no luck till now, after some days troubleshooting.
Question: Does anyone know to overcome this issue?
Option 2:
Convert FAT32 volume to NTFS. Honestly we still do not try this option yet since the physical server is in prod and still running. We worry if this action can cause error to current server.
Question: does anyone know the safe way to convert FAT32 to NTFS?
Overall, anybody knows to solve issue in my site? Here I also attach the logs to analyze.

i apologize in advance as im rather new to ESXI and virtualization.
i have a Server and a few vms and I’m trying to do Vlan tagging. I have set up the port groups and assigned them to individual vlans and the nic from my pc is connected to my Cisco switch that is trunking with all Vlans allowed on it (this is a homelab for playing around and learning).
problem is whenever I enable trubking my host losses connectivity but I can see the macs of the host and vms on the switch all with the same Vlan that comes from the physical nic. I feel like I’m missing something very simple.
any suggestions are appreciated and let me know what details/configs would help.

I have few doubt on new HTML5 interface of vcloud director.While creating a VM in new HTML5 tenant interface,i could not able to customize the CPU/memory.storage size.For example,i need to enter 10 GB for linux VM which is not available to enter.
However in the old Flash interface,i see the option to enter whatever i want(for example 10 GB HD for test VM). Is there any options available to do this in HTML5 tenant interface ?

I have some problems with the Backup of Windows Server VM's since i upgraded my Hardware. Before the Upgrade i used the VMware ESXi Version 5.5 U2 without any problem. Everything works fine, but after changing my Hardware to HP Microserver Gen8 with HP VMware Version 5.5 U3 installed i get some errors every 3-4 days.
I get some different errors, but the most errors are VSS errors. The first VM is a Domain Controller and the second VM is a SQL Server. The following errors comes after 3-4 days and persists until i reboot the server.

I tried the following things:
1. VMware Tools reinstall (many times)
2. VMware ESXi Update to Version 5.5 U3a (HP Version)
3. Create Snapshot via vCenter without any problem.
I have check the status of the vss writers and noticed that some writers hat the state "Timeout".
Can you help me to solve this problem?

Hi I am trying to change the IP of some VM's that were deployed and got it's address from the network profile. I had to adjust the range that the profile provides and now I need these deployments to get new IP's.

whenever i open a VM in VMRC 10.0.3 build-9300449 on my Windows 10 1803 PC i have some problems.
We are using vSphere Client Version 6.5.0.13000
First of all, the resolution of the VM is alwas set to a very low resolution and i have to switch to 1280x800 manually.
The second problem is, that the mouse pointer has the wrong position. The mouse pointer is shown on a different position than the click events happen.
This makes it impossible to work.
Is there any solution for this?

Hi,
I have installed for the first time VRA 7.5.
I noticed that I can see all the token of the workflows of all users - only my tokens.
Moreover, If I run from the vra a workflow (xaas blueprint), It appears in token list of the workflow, but when I try to run again the specific token I receive the following error box:
NullPointerException
I press continue and the token disappear from the list.
How, can I solve it?
In version 7.3 I was able to see all the tokens without any problem, the vra tokens and the users tokens which login directly to orchestrator.

I am running vSphere 6.5 and applying my alarms at the VCSA level. They are fine for a few hundred VMs, but we have 1 VM that is pegged during a specific time in the early morning every day. It is a specific job and we are not wanting to add more vCPUs, etc. Is there a way to create an exception for the emails we get from this specific VM during a specific time window?

I upgraded the NSX manager last night, plus the controllers to 6.4.4, I've come in this morning to upgrade the hosts and I no longer can see anything in the "Dashboard" "Installation and Upgrade" tab. its completely blank. I can see the NSX Edge, Users and Domains, Events tab but I can not see anything in Installation and upgrade.
I've tried a different login this morning, had a look at the plugins...
Has anyone ever had a similar problem?
Upgrade from 6.2.5 to 6.4.4. vCenter version 6 update 2 which when I looked up it was a supported upgrade path.
