Greetings,
I have a single ESXi 5.5 host with a single Win 2012 std server guest. I have a second guest but it is not in production. Several months ago, I had "thought" I enabled auto startup and shutdown for this particular guest. Due to power issues in the building today, I had the occasion to shutdown the guest, and power off the host completely. Upon rebooting the host, my guest never started (automatically). I connected to the host via vsphere client, and started it manually. No issues.
I decided to check the auto startup/shutdown settings and it was set to manual. So, either I never actually set it to automatic (and I am just having memory issues within my head (not uncommon for me)) or I DID actually set it, and something has happened where it became disabled or reverted back to the default.
That aside, I went in to the auto start properties and as mentioned above, found it disabled, I was able to enable it, but when it came back to the screen (after clicking OK), it displayed TWO of each of my VM's in the auto start screen. I went back in to see if I could edit/delete/remove the extras (I didn't find a means of doing it), and when I came back out of the screen there were THREE VMs listed in the pane. See attached. Does anyone know what is happening here and how I can remedy the situation?
Am I just being an idiot and missing the obvious?
Thanks.
