When one run the workflow 'Add vCenter server Instance', the credentials that are supplied are they just used for that point in time. Similar to how you join and ESXi host to a vCenter ?

VMware HCX versus best effort versus built-in vSphere mobility options
Hi,
I'm dry studying VMware HCX and have tried getting a quick feature overview with comparison to vSphere mobility options (see sheet). Replicated Assisted vMotion (RAV) is a vSphere 6 vMotion enhancement. Transition overlay networks and proximity routing are HCX-only techniques for HCX RAV, right? Is it a requirement for HCX OS Assisted Migration?

VRO 7.6 authentication provider
Hi
when standing up a new instance of VRO, one has to add the appropriate authentication provider. In my case it is vsphere. The part I am confused about is, what purpose does the admin group serve. I have tried the following
Created a group called VCOAdmin in the vsphere.local domain.
Added an active directory group to the group
Made VCOAdmin the admin group for the authentication provider
When I test, my AD user that is part of VCOAdmin group test succesfully as having admin access to VRO
When I log out of the control center and try log in with my AD user the log in fails, I can however log into the VRO client HTML5 and Java.
I am also not able to execute API calls with this account.
What am I missing ?

problem with NSX-T RBAC

OS X Yosemite on VMWare Fusion 11.1.0 on Mojave Host
Does VMWare Tools fusion still function correctly on Yosemite guest running Mojave host and up to date VMWrae fusion on Mac ?
I open VM share on desktop but folder is empty despite its shared .
Under "Virtual machine" men its stays as "upgrade Tools" even though its installed. Is this just some incompatibility with a very old OS and latest VMWare Tools not supporting?
Occasionally i do get mouse pointer vanishes and keyboard unresponsive, so I must power off VM menu.. I'm testing old software for someone that requires Yosemite or lower

vSGA on Nested ESXi
A native ESXi driver for the SVGA adapter that appears in a nested instance when 'Accelerate 3D graphics' is enabled to provide Xorg with OpenGL/Mesa acceleration in the same way an Nvidia/AMD/Intel driver does on a physical host.
Such a driver already exists for the SVGA adapter in Linux so this can’t be too difficult. If I had access to SDK/DDK's for ESXi I'd attempt it myself.
I understand this would never be supported but it would improve Horizon View test/demo scenarios and 3D acceleration also has some use at the console for DWM acceleration (if it's Windows, other window managers on other operating systems as well).

Exam Result to be categorized as per the objective
Today I cleared my exam VCP-NV, What I got a single paper with the score sheet. Now I'm planning for VCIX. I'm sure if the result is categorized as per objective, it would have helped me a lot on focusing on objectives in next exam.
As of today I know I have passed the exam but I don't know which area I'm strong or which area I have to improve. This is not a new idea, Official Cert guide (VCP-NV) software has this feature inbuilt. It is just matter of integrating that software with the exam.

Better support of Virtual Monitors
Hi,
Allow virtual support of monitors. At the moment we are limited by only having the maximum number and resolution limited by the host.
For example if my host has 2 screens allow to to virtually create more then 2.
In addition allow me to simulate having a 4K monitor if my host does not have one.

Outlook PDF Previewer disabled
We've been experiencing issues with Outlook 2016 and its previewer option for PDF documents.
It claims that it is disabled, despite performing every possible fix across forums and adobe support pages.
The weird part is that it functions after opening Adobe Acrobat Reader from the desktop, then reattempting to open the previewer in Outlook.
This sticks out to us as a registry issue, but we can't for the life of us find the correct hive for UEM to capture.
Has anyone experienced similar issues with the Outlook previewer?

PowerCLI v11.3.0.13990089 InvalidCertificateAction not Working...
In the last version of the PowerCLI (v11.3.0.13990089) the "InvalidCertificateAction" setting is ignored by Connect-VIServer command.
I've executed the following command:
