I have been using OVF environment data to pass data down to a VM when it starts up and this has work fine with linux, but I'm trying to do the same thing with Windows 2012 r2 and neither pass via CDROM nor vmware tools work. The CDROM drive shows up but has nothing inserted and when I run vmtoolsd.exe --cmd "info-get guestinfo.ovfEnv" returns "No value found"
vCenter is 5.0.0, 913577, We need to upgrade but we are in a release cycle and can not do that upgrade at this time.
Am I missing some configuration for the Windows VM for this to work??
Thanks, Mike
