Does disabling ESXi firewall completely open network traffic in and out from the system?

Hi all,

This is my first post here. I searched around but apparently most people are interested in restricting traffic.

I want the exact opposite. I want to make sure there is absolutely no network restrictions in and out of my Virtual system.

I have disabled the ESXi firewall using the command line with the following command:

esxcli network firewall set -- enabled false

Does the above guarantee that I have no restriction of network traffic to/from the ESXi system?

I use the ESXi to host a couple of product demos for the company I work for. I host the software for these on a virtual environment for convenience. However, I am having trouble with network traffic and in order to troubleshoot, I need to locate the problem.

I have disabled all firewalls inside my VM's operating systems, so really my only doubt is regarding the ESXi system itself. I want to ensure it is allowing all data in and out.

Thanks for the help, and apologies If anything is confusing.

Regards
