I am having difficulties with what I thought would be pretty straightforward.
I have a Brand New R730 (Dell Poweredge) and have successfully installed the Nvidia Grid K2 into the machine and have passed it through to a Windows Server 2016 Datacenter machine.
As part of the building the VM Guest process, I have done the following:
1) Installed without dedicating the GK104GL [GRID K2] to the VM. RDS Session Host Role Service is not installed.
1a) Run a benchmark with Heaven Benchmark by Unigine. This delivers just 1.5 FPS average.
2) Dedicate the GK104GL [GRID K2] device to the VM. Install the 369.71 2016 driver.
2a) Run a benchmark as above with the same settings and get 161.5 FPS average.
3) Install the RDS Session Host Role Service
3a) Run a benchmark as above. I get the 1.5 FPS average again.
What am I doing wrong? What steps are not obvious to this sheep herder?
I really need the help. The machine is a RDP machine upon which we do Autodesk (AutoCAD). I need it to use the K2 in RDS mode.
Thank you
