So, we need to reboot our hosts. All of them have replicas on them that are protected.
Now, I am aware I can follow this KB: https://kb.vmware.com/kb/1008704
However, in the KB, it says:
If a replica is in use, the linked clones cannot be powered on, refreshed, or recomposed after the replica is unprotected or deleted. You have to manually delete these unusable linked clones. Provisioning new linked clones from the same desktop pool creates new provisioned linked clones for these clones.
So, that's fairly scary. I've looked through the Googles but only found examples of folks doing the above KB when the replica is not used anymore... I haven't located one about migrating the replicas. What is the best way to migrate the replicas off a host so it can be rebooted?
Thank you!
