My ESXi 6.5 host boots from a USB flash drive and the VMs are on a iSCSI datastore with MPIO. I have another machine that is identical to my current host - same exact make/model, CPU, mobo and on-board NIC. If I bring over all the memory, all the PCI-E & PCI cards (dual NIC, TV tuner & graphics card) and put them in the same exact slots as the 1st host, will the 2nd host and the VMs boot without any problems and maintain the configuration? If not, is there something I have to do to get them all to boot successfully and keep the config intact?
