Does anybody know if it's possible to retrieve the datastore that is hosting a VMDK from within the Guest OS (Windows)?
We have an estate of 85 hosts and some 1000 VM's running on it, and in the past the choice has been made to give the Windows pagefile a seperate VMDK file on a separate datastore (for backup en replication reasons). I recently found at least 1 VM where the VMDK for pagefile and data are swapped and therefore the pagefile is backed up and replicated and the VMDK for data is not. I'm looking for a way to check this on all 1000 VM's and I don't want to it by hand if there is another way.
