Just curious, would I have got any marks for my answer to this test VCAP-DCA question in the actual exam?

So below is a sample VCAP question along with a its apparent answer.  I did things differently, I'm under the impression the functional end result is the measure of success in the VCAP would I have scored any points even partial for my solution do you think (Mines in blue?)

Scenario 5

< Back | Next>

Scenario:

You manage the virtual network for a vSphere environment, and you closely work with network administrators. The administrators want to use a VM-based network sniffer (such as Wireshark) to inspect network packets for multiple distributed port groups on a single distributed virtual switch. Each of the distributed port groups is assigned to a different subnet and VLAN.

Requirements:

  • Add a new distributed port group to a distributed virtual switch, and name it Sniffer.
  • Configure the VLAN settings on the Sniffer distributed port group appropriately, such that it can be used to allow the sniffer VM to inspect packets from the other port groups.
  • Do not configure other settings on the Sniffer port group. Just configure the VLAN settings to enable it to support the sniffer VM.

Environment Information:

  • Distributed virtual switch: dvSwitch1
  • Port groups that require inspection: Prod-01, Prod-02, Prod-03

Objective: 2.2 Configure and Maintain VLANs, PVLANs, and VLAN Settings

Guide Reference(s):

  • Chapter 2 - Configure and Maintain VLANs and PVLANs – Determine Use Cases for VLAN Trunking

Solution

  • Using the vSphere Client, navigate to Inventory> Networking.
  • Examine the VLAN settings of Prod-01, Prod-02, and Prod-03. The VLANs of these port groups should be 201, 202, and 203.
  • Right-click dvSwitch1 and select New Port group.
  • Name the port group Sniffer.
  • Set its VLAN Type to the VLAN Trunk and set its value to 201, 202, 203.

My solution, or maybe not?

Create the "sniffer" portgroup,

set it to trunking

Set it to 4096 to pick up all VLANs

Set it to promiscuously (seemingly unnecessary)

What do you think would it have worked?  Would I have scored anything?

Thanks for your opinion in advance...
