Since Last Tuesday our command pilot of VDI View 5.1 ( approximately 300 VDI images) has been having an issue with disconnects. The disconnect itself seems to be occurring on the zero client side and manifests to the user as being a timeout which bounces the user back to the primary login screen for the Virtual Connect Manager. We have spent the last week checking integrity of the Images, the ESX hosts, the Chassis backplane, and our network paths to and from the zero client. Upon investigation it appears that during its travel the PCOIP UDP packets stop returning to the zero client which prompts the "bye" function and signs the user off the connection but DOES NOT close the open session within the image.
We are using WYSE P25 series zero clients and we have yet to find any solution. Has anyone had this happen to them recently and maybe has input to help us find a solution? This pilot is expected to go to over 2000 end users on the hospital and unlike most offices we must maintain a 99% up time so these moment drops put that into jeopardy. I attached one of the examples from the event log to maybe provide additional help. We have engaged VMWare support and are working to get WYSE on the line as well but i was hoping maybe the community would have an immediate answer.
