Correct configuration of MAC OS X networking/FusionBridgedNetworking/Fedora 17 Guest -- ACTING as DHCP server for not only VMs but for Real servers on the HOST MAC NIC Subnet

All, not posting too much, since I usually find what I am looking for. But not this time.

This is not about the DHCP server provided by Fusion VMware, and Bridged Network work so that Linux Host pings both the Virtual En4 on the Mac 172.16.214.254/24 the Real IP yes I have to give real static IP to the NIC card on the Mac for this to be up and able to connect to a switch 172.16.214.253/24 and the Guest IP is 172.16.214.128.

So all pings internally from the MAc os to the VM guest linux and viceversa. The problem is when I hook the MAC (real NIC) to a switch and let's say another PC or workstation to same switch trying to obtain an IP from the VM guest DHCP server nothing happens.

This is for a lab where inside a Mac I will set up DHCP server for pxe boot, DNS server, Web server, and these have to work with real PCs and workstations outside the MAC HOST.

The problem is -ON the DCHP client example - that when the servers boot the MAC sees the Discover messages on the real NIC 172.16.214.253, but it does not pass the packets for the dhcp server at 172.16.214.253. It seems I need to setup some kind of proxy or static routes.

I really don't believe there is no one trying to have a DCHP server running on a VM and serving real clients outside the host, the problem with googling is that the vmware DHCP seems to be problematic for alot of people and therefore it makes the search hard.

Any help with a link or suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks!
