My VMs just keep freezing...

I've tried to hold out for awhile since I was too lazy to make this thread and have to go into all the detailed information I'd have to probably provide, but I just can't help it anymore.

For some reason, ever since upgrading to Mavericks, my VMs have been constantly freezing during random times.. I'm not sure what the deal is. It's not like freezing as in all the resources are being used so the VM is moving slow. It's more like I can even resize the VM and it doesn't auto-resize because it's completely frozen. I can't regain any type of control. This happens to several of my VMs, all running different OSes -- Linux, Windows 7, etc. In order for me to fix this, I'd have to force shut down -- just regular shut down doesn't even work.

I thought it may have been an issue with VMware Fusion 5, so I upgraded to 6 with my company license, and it's still happening.

Here is some basic information thaat I think may be relevant in assisting me with this issue:

Computer MacBook Pro w/ Retina Display

Memory: 16GB

HD: 756GB SSD

VMware Fusion v6

I also never have much running other than a messenger client and the VM, literally. I allocate 4GB to each VM, but several times I've only had one running during the time in which it froze.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
