Hi
I see some examples of people with building custom dashboards and they navigate to vcops-server.domain.local/vcops-custom. When I go to that page a login is presented and after loging in I get the following error:
"This product is unlicensed or cannot connect to the vSphere Server. Use a vSphere Client to connect to the vCenter Server and assign a license key".
When I go to the admin pages and the registration tab, I see the following info:
Service Status: Running
License SKU: vCenter Operations Manager Standard 5.6 <---- notice 5.6 !!! not 5.7 which is the version I'm running.
License mode: Standard
License status: Licensed
License vCenter Server: my vcenter server
License Capacity: Infinite
In the vCenter Server registration:
Connection Status: Connected
Registration Status: Registered
On my vCenter Server 4.1.0 build 491557 (Yup that is quite old), I do see license "vCenter Operations Manager Standard 5.6" and 791 VMs assigned with unlimited capacity. The solution that is using this license is reported as: vCenter Operations Manager-<internal IP>.
Everything seems to be correct. The license key I'm using is the one you see on the download page when downloading vCOPs. See release notes: VMware vCenter Operations Manager 5.7
What am I missing? I see in the "Compare Editions" page on the vmware site that Standard edition does not have customizable dashboards, does that mean that the whole vcops-custom is unavailable?
