Having a strange issue - we were on Horizon 7.3.1 and are upgrading because we are migrating our users to Windows 10 LTSC 2019 but in the meantime just want to get our existing set of Windows 7 and Windows 10 LTSB 2016 pools rebuilt in 7.8.
We actually started with 7.7 but had the same issue there and it was suggested by VMWare that 7.7 fixed Persona issues.
The issue is this - when the user is in session, the profile syncs just fine. When they log off, it begins the log-off sync but Horizon appears to think the user has finished logging off before the persona sync finishes. WIth 7.3.1 and 7.4 when the user logs off, Horizion view shows the user disconnected and the machine in maintenance mode until the logoff/sync finishes but with 7.8 it seems to begin to do that but the user gets 'logged off' in less than a minute and the machine refreshes before the sync completes. If I put the machine in maintenance mode ahead of time to prevent the auto-refresh then the sync finishes after a period of time, so it seems to be a communication issue between the agent and the horizon server but everything appears to be configured correctly.
We read online about issues people have had with Persona 7.5+ and so we tried the 7.4 agent and persona with it and all works fine in that version.
Has anyone encountered this and have a solution short of rolling back to the 7.4 agent (which I dont think would be supported for LTSC 2019 anyway) ?
