Get a 1075 error, But all dependencies are started

All dependencies started, but get a 1075 error.

The guest OSs running on my VMWare Workstation and all VMWare players in our office lost access to shares on my machine shortly after a Windows 7 Pro 64bit update on 4/13/2019.  I undid the 4/13 Windows update and that restored the shares for all the VMWare Players, but hosed the VMWare workstation on my Win 7 machine, the same machine that had the update, and had the update removed.  When I try to start VMWare workstation I get :

Transport (VMDB) error -44: Message.

The VMware Authorization Service is not running

No big deal.  I run command prompt Run as Administrator and call up services.msc.  VMWare Authorization Service is set as automatic but it does not have a started status.  When I hit start, I get:

Windows could not start VMWare Authorization Service service on Local Computer

Error 1075  The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion.

When I click on the VMWare Authorization Services and open the Dependencies tab, all the dependencies listed are started.  I check the services list and Windows Management Instrumentation is started. Remote Procedure Call (RPC) is started. DCOM Service Process Launcher is started.  RPC Endpoint Mapper is started.  That is all the dependencies listed; they are all started.

So, I can't start VMWare Authorization Servier because of Error 1075 the dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion, but all listed dependencies are started.

Does anyone have any ideas on this, or how to fix it?  Please, I am desperate.

Thanks,
