hyper-v to vmware conversion breaks static ip

So I did a migration of a server 2012 R2 from hyper v to vmware and while it migration went okay every time I try to assign a static ip I lose internet connection. The VM i created on the host takes a static IP just fine but this migrated VM will not.

There was a ghost adaptor post-migration that I uninstalled but I can't seem to figure out the issue.

Any one else have any ideas?
