I am running some legacy scanning software in a Windows XP SP3 VM on VM 8.5.10. The software is scanning photos and as such the colour needs to be properly calibrated to do it properly.
My Eizo monitor is hooked up to my mac mini and is properly calibrated but when I go to scan images on the XP VM I am not getting a calibrated preview image. If I open an image file on my local mac and then copy the same file to XP and open it the files are very different in colour so XP is definitely not giving me the correct colour. I had assumed that the VM would use the host setup but obviously that is not the case.
I thought about loading an Eizo driver in XP but all I can see relating to graphics is the VM SVGA II listing under Display Adapters.
I don't Windows enough to know where the problem lies. I have no choice about using XP as it is the latest OS supported by the software.
