Hi:
I installed VMware WS 15 on Ubuntu Disco fully up to date. Installed Kernel 5.0.0 from the Ubuntu Mainline - Linus has released the final. Not surprisingly it failed to install and I am attaching the log files in zip format from /tmp/vmware-root and /tmp/vmware-marty and hope somebody can look at them. Of course I can (and might if nobody has any ideas - but more importantly if somebody has had success with their patch(es). Ubuntu Disco will be released next month - probably with kernel 4.20. But if and when Ubuntu is released with the newest kernel I hope VMware will be ready with a kernel fix. FWIW the current compiler version (unlike Fedora) is still 8.2. Also Virtualbox compiles and runs without a hitch - I have the lastest Windows Insider program (build 18845 - 20H1) running with Shared Folders and all extentions. I would rather not have to dual boot with kernel 4.20 or keep on using VMware on Windows (where it is working fine on Build 18845 20H1.
TIA
