I am currently experiencing issue with setting up VmWare vSphere 6 lab as described in CBT nugget by Keith Barker.

I am using management network at 192.168.1.0/24 (same network that my router is).

In VmWare workstation 14 there are following network adapters:

VmWare workstation adapters

so VMnet0 is bridged to wireless USB that is used to access the Internet (Tenda U1).

ESXi-1 host is given static IP at 192.168.1.101/24.

ESXi-2 host is given static IP at 192.168.1.102/24.

AD (Windows server 2012 with AD installed) is given static IP at 192.168.1.111/24.

When Test mgmt network on esxi-1 is run, result is:

Also, when I try pinging esxi-1 from windows server, it succeeds: https://i.stack.imgur.com/oS07R.png

My host PC is running at 192.168.1.22/24.

Problem starts when I try to ping esxi guest from my Host PC (or any other VM), I get following: https://i.stack.imgur.com/Nyzub.png

Host PC ping error

Also, pinging Host PC from Windows server guest:

I have tried to disable firewall but no luck.

Anyone have any idea about solving this annoying issue

Guests can ping other network devices.
