Rebooted vCenter and a host lost connectivity to vCenter to the network

Yesterday, I had to reboot my vCenter server to verify the services were booting properly (and they did). When vCenter came back online one of the hosts lost connectivity and after 10 minutes, didn't show any signs of coming back. I pinged the host IP from my PC and switch and failed. I checked the power and NIC lights on the server, but everything was green. I did a hard reboot and it came back online. I was checking through the syslogs, but I don't really see any issues. This is the only time this has happened, but figured I'd reach out to you fine folks to get more insight.

The only thing, I can think of is the host missed the heartbeat to vCenter and once it failed freaked out and overloaded the NIC with requests. Not sure, if that is sound or not. Has anyone else had this issue before?
