We've been trying to upgrade our testing infrastructure to v6.5, hence we have started with our replica PSC to see if everything was as easy as supposed.
Phase 1 is completed without problem, but phase 2 fails with a well known error on the release notes: vmonapi fails to start on first boot. Our certificates are all derived from a private CA and SAN does not include any IP address but domain names. I've been checking the logs and I can find an error on var/log/vmware/vmon/vmon-syslog.log saying
warning vmon Service vmonapi pre-start command's stderr: Failed to start vmonapi service. Exception : <urlopen error [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:590)>
As I can't find which url vmonapi service is trying to open I'm not sure what exactly the problem is, although it is obviously related with some certificate. IPv6 is disabled in our case.
I guess I can't be the only one with this problem, any help is welcome.
